Thirteen and a half years ago, a dream came true when the Polish Center of Wisconsin opened its doors. After years of meetings in rented spaces, Milwaukee's Polish community was able to build a home for itself in a secluded area of Franklin.
Today, the Polish Center of Wisconsin provides gathering space of Polish groups, presents concerts of Polish music, showcases Polish art and history, and organizes events featuring Polish culture and products.
Already our heavily-used facility is showing signs of wear and tear. We recently installed handicapped-accessible doors; now, we urgently need to re-pave the front walk, refresh the EIFS (synthetic stucco) exterior, refinish the hardwood floors, replace carpeting, and making major repairs to the heating system.
With these needs in mind, the Board of Directors has launched the "Free and Clear in our Fifteenth Year" fund raising campaign to eliminate the remaining $309,000 of mortgage debt and build a reserve fund to provide for future maintenance costs.
Free & Clear Accomplished!
Thank you to all of our donors!
